The restaurant at the Lake Placid Stagecoach Inn is a community living room – a place for locals, weekenders, and visitors to meet, greet, and dine. Our comfortable great room welcomes all, whether for a small plate, a leisurely four-course meal near the cozy fireplace, or dessert and a digestif at our full-service bar, which offers classic spirits, hand-crafted cocktails, a distinguished wine list, and local brews. Our resident Chef, William Darrah creates new dynamic offerings weekly that are seasonally appropriate. He is committed to providing exceptional food and service in a uniquely beautiful atmosphere while supporting local farms and vendors.

What Our Guests Are Saying About Dining at LPSCI

FINE DINING!! FINALLY!

A bit of a secret, since their website still says they are only opened for dining to their guests; this place is newly opened to the public and their chef, William Darrah, is the real deal. The inn is small and charming and you can eat in any number of lovely spaces in the building or on the porch. This is a soft launch situation as they are ramping up staff, so if you happen to go on a night when there are 10 or more covers, service may be a bit slow, but give them a break, have a delicious cocktail on the porch while you look at the menu. The menu is small but full of unique and tasty items. The cheese board, confit wings and Shishito peppers were all devoured as apps (the peppers my personal favorite, were spicy with the perfect blend of tart and smokey heat). The mains were all unbelievably tasty with the Kurobuta pork and pheasant saltimbocca being the standouts. Everyone cleaned their plates. If you're a foodie, you can get good info on the sourcing of the meats and produce - lots of specialty, small batch, local, artisanal products being used here. This place is sure to become a hit, so go now while reservations are easy.  --Loraine B.

Amazing food and a wonderful experience overall!

We stayed at the inn for a few days and our dining experience was superb. The atmosphere of the restaurant was cozy and all of the staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. Their drink menu was also diverse with options that will satisfy most (I highly recommend trying the "Stagecoach Sunset"). William is a phenomenal chef and his passion for his craft is evident in the care and attention to detail he puts in every appetizer, entree, and dessert (all made with locally sourced ingredients) - even with our dietary restrictions in mind. There wasn't any food we had that we didn't outright love during our stay, and for their prices it’s 100% worth it. We can't wait to have more when we come back for our next vacation! --Mfagiola
