William Darrah
Executive Chef
William joined our team in February of 2022 to focus on creating an unforgettable dining experience for all of our guests. Our guests can experience his culinary delights six nights a week. Come relax and enjoy, what we believe, is the best food you will find in Lake Placid. Limited seatings available daily and reservations are required. Don't miss out on our take on fine dining in a classic Adirondack living room.

Chef William is from Saranac Lake and has worked under some of the most prestigious chefs in our area, including David Cunningham, Christopher Bellanka, Justin Hoyt, and Nicky Berrachough. William first started in kitchens in 1999, and has worked at Bitter & Bones, Brown’s Market Bistro, Top of the Park, and The Point before coming to Stagecoach Inn.
He continues to live in Saranac Lake and enjoys growing fresh herbs that he often incorporates into his recipes.

We are the Takachs'; Stacia & Mike doggie parents to Louie :){ our adorable yet rambunctious boxer!} It has been a dream of ours to relocate to Lake Placid, NY for the last 20+ years and with a lot of handwork and a little luck we are here! We welcome you to The Lake Placid Stagecoach Inn and hope you enjoy it as much as we do!
Why We love Lake Placid?
Lake Placid is a magical place for us. On our second date in 2004 we visited Lake Placid to take in the splendor and beauty of the Adirondacks amidst the peak of Fall Foliage! Lake Placid is where we fell in love, got engaged and eventually married on the shore of Lake Placid six years to the day of our first trip! For years we had searched for a property that not only we could love but we could share with others that feel the same way we do about the Adirondack Park!
